Speaker's Biography

Lei Liming, Ph.D., researcher, deputy chief engineer of China Aviation Development Corporation, and concurrently director of the Process Research Centre. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of aero-engine materials and key component manufacturing technologies. In recent years, he has been committed to the engineering application of additive manufacturing in the field of aero-engines. He is a member of the China Additive Manufacturing Standardization Technical Committee, a vice president of AECC Physical Metallurgy Committee, and a member of the Physical Testing Professional Committee of the China Aviation Society Materials Branch. He is also a project expert for the Civil Aviation Pre-Research of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. At present, he has chaired six key research projects in AM, such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. In recent years, the team have been using laser AM technology to test and manufacture the fuel nozzles and turbine cooling effect blades required for the development of domestic commercial aviation engine projects, and promoting the application of AM technology in domestic commercial aviation engine projects,, establishing AECC CAE’s advanced position in domestic additive industry.
